A card for internet payments: details are issued online, payments are confirmed via 3-D Secure, and the balance is visible in the web app.

Fits websites, apps, subscriptions and digital services.

Where you can pay

Online stores and marketplaces

Payment goes through by card details right on the site — just like with a regular card.

Digital subscriptions

Streaming platforms, cloud storage, AI tools and other online products.

Apps and in-app purchases

If a service accepts payment by card number, the details of a Millpay virtual card will do.

Paying via a wallet

Google Pay is available on both card options, Apple Pay on Mill Daily only, Alipay and WeChat on both.

Which card fits

Both options work for online payments. Mill Go is built for online services and is cheaper to issue; Mill Daily is more versatile and adds offline payments and Apple Pay.

If you pay online only, Mill Go is enough. If you also need offline payments and Apple Pay, take Mill Daily.

How to pay on a website

  1. Check the balance

Make sure the card holds enough including the transaction fee: $0.1 on Mill Go, from $0.1 to $0.5 on Mill Daily.

  2. Open the card details

Tap “Show details” in the web app — the number, expiry date and code are visible to the account owner only.

  3. Enter the card data

Fill in the payment form on the site: card number, expiry date and confirmation code.

  4. Confirm the payment

The payment goes through a 3-D Secure check — the confirmation code is requested in the Millpay web app.

  5. Check the history

The charge and the final amount appear in the transaction history right after the payment.

Subscriptions and recurring charges

A subscription charges money regularly, so keeping a sufficient balance matters: if there are not enough funds at the moment of the next charge, the service will decline the payment and may suspend the subscription.

A handy approach is to keep a separate card for subscriptions: the balance then caps what can be charged, while the rest of your funds stay in assets. More about that scenario on the temporary card page.

Topping up before a payment

The balance is topped up online in the web app; no separate bank transfer is needed.

  • The minimum first top-up is $10.
  • The top-up fee is 2.5% and is the same for Mill Go and Mill Daily.
  • The transaction fee is charged separately and should be factored into the top-up amount.
  • Any unspent balance goes back to assets via the “Return funds to assets” button.

Confirmation and security

Verification at issuance

Before the card is issued you pass identity checks under internal KYC and AML procedures — a requirement for a licensed operator.

3-D Secure on payments

Every payment is confirmed via 3-D Secure, and the confirmation code is requested inside the Millpay web app.

Card details stay with the owner

The number, expiry date and security code are not printed on plastic and are revealed only in your account via the “Show details” button.

A separate balance

The card holds exactly the amount you topped it up with — the rest of your funds stay in assets and are never involved in a payment.

If a payment does not go through

Before retrying, run through this list — most declines come down to one of these.

  • The balance does not cover the purchase together with the transaction fee.
  • The card details were entered incorrectly — check the number, expiry date and code in the web app.
  • 3-D Secure confirmation was not completed: the code is requested in the Millpay web app.
  • The service does not accept payment by card details and requires another method — for example an offline payment, which is available on Mill Daily only.
  • When a payment is declined the funds stay on the balance: retry the payment or return them to assets.

Choose Mill Go or Mill Daily — the issue price is $20 and $45 respectively, charged at issuance.

  4. Issuance and details

Card details appear in the web app right after the issue fee is paid — there is nothing to wait for.

Yes. The card is accepted wherever payment is taken by card details. For recurring charges it is important to keep enough on the balance — otherwise the next payment will be declined.

No. Millpay runs in a web app: you can open a card, view its details, top up the balance and get the 3-D Secure code from a browser on your phone or computer.

The code is requested in the Millpay web app at the moment of payment — only the account owner has access to it.

For online-only payments Mill Go is enough: $20 to issue and a fixed $0.1 transaction fee. Mill Daily costs $45 and is needed if you also require offline payments and Apple Pay.

Most often the balance does not cover the fee, the card details are wrong, or 3-D Secure confirmation was not completed. Funds stay on the balance when a payment is declined.

Yes, the remaining balance goes back to assets via the “Return funds to assets” button in the web app.
